I'm thinking about switching from airbox to pods. What will that entail? What should I know?

 

You should know the factory took detailed accounts of the chamber in the air passage. In other words, that carb, that air cleaner case, that engine head all match 1-2-3.

Now you come along and 3-2-1 the performance. Get ready for the headache and $$$ you want pod.

You should now act the factory with the pods. Yes, you caused an air speed event. That means the pods need a slowing down process. Who looks the best you cover the pods so the bog goes away... Or say it another way... YOU caused the bog of the pod.

You'll never get all the bog out and that is making the pods look all clean looking. YOu'll suck in more microns and ruin the cylinder walls and carb slides profiling with pod. You asked what you should know.

Now how stupid does my bike look now I pod and can't get out from under the bog or do I have that snap performance of a balanced by the factory air cleaner and look real stupid I saved the engine from imploding before it's time. I do not have a bog so a car can come get me I have to wave at them give me a millisecond more for the bog to kick in.... Have you heard enough?
