Default Detachable solo rack

I've done some looking and can't find a HD solo rack for my 2002 FXDL. Does anyone know where I can find something like this(that works with the detachable sideplate connectors) from another source? Everything they list is up to 2001 for the FXDL, but nothing like this for the newer models with regards to a solo detachable rack.

Clay, what exactly are you looking for??? a luggage rack for your sissy bar, or just a rack to use with your detachable docking hardware,
Or a detachable sissy bar ? Other than the H-D detachables the only others I've seen is Bubba's but they are expensive. I have a H-D detachable sissy bar/ luggage rack combo, and H-D saddle bags with the "barebacks" quick disconnect system that uses my H-D docking hardware so I can pop my bags off in about 10 secs. I love detachables, I can totally change the look of my FatBoy in less than a min. using the detachables.

You might check out Ebay

What I'm looking for, exactly, is a detachable solo rack to sit behind my Sundowner solo seat (covering the fender), similar to the solo rack I have for my Heritage Springer (#53903-00). I also plan on adding the pillion and detachable sideplates for quick two-up riding.

I hope this is more clear.

If such a rack doesn't exist for my FXDL, I'll get another set of detachable side-plates and have someone fabricate a rack or attach a rack on them.

Clay, I checked out the rack for the Heritage Springer, now I understand what you are looking for..... also the MOCO website shows these...

Touring : Detachable Solo Tour-Pak® Rack
Sportster® : Sportster® Detachable Solo Rack
Softail® : Heritage Springer® Detachable Solo Rack

But no solo rack for the Dyna's....why is that ???

I also checked J&P's catalog, and they don't offer any solo racks period.....good luck

I think an 02 is wider in the rear due to the 150 size tire. I'mpretty sure they had to come out with wider sissy-bars in 01 maybe. Make sure before you order.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Awesome!!!! Thanks a bunch.

Now, can you melt the ice off the roads around my place (it's been there since late October), so I can get out and do some riding? LOL
