Default Eliminating the front signals

Anyone ever gotten rid of the front turn signals? When I disconnect them, the rears just light up, and don't flash. Looking for a way to remove the fronts and only have rear signals, and have them flash obviously. Thoughts???? Discuss.

You have to complete the circuit. In “theory” you can connect the wires of the front turn signal together with their respective sides. Was it a two-post bulb in the front? If so I think if you connect the two wires going to the post it will fool the system into thinking it has a working bulb up front. You may also have to get a load equalizer because with only rear bulbs pulling the flasher may not be able operate properly. All of this is only a guess on my part. With out looking and testing the wires I am really not sure what is happening. Proceed at your own risk.

The new taillight and signal combo from Küryakyn I put in came with a load equalizer, don't know if that will work or not. Maybe if I put a resistor in line that might work? Dunno. Right now I have the HD Chrome Bullet style signals up front. The ones that come stock on the newer bikes. Thanks for the advice.

Good news, with the load equalizer from the new taillight, nothing to worry about. Took off the fronts, and everything is fine. Love that freakin taillight!!

pics please.

i'm going to be running no turns in the front. i had my lowers chromed and got a road king like front nacelle.. so spots and turns are coming off.

just having turns in the back, and a derby cover license plate w/ brake, i'm going to run all as brake lights too.

we'll see how it comes out. was at the shop today, they said if everything goes the way it should, end of next week.

Well, got the chores done, and the hogs are happy as peas in a pod. Took the gravel roads and found a place called Office Max, anyone heard of these before?? Nice place, sure is fancy. Bought me a Kodak digital camera. Headed to Kansas City this afternoon, so I'll have to figure this fandangled thing out and get some pics up. Wish me luck!!

Ya'll come back now.
