Harley 6 Speed Transmission!

Harley 6 Speed Transmission!
I just installed a new 6 Speed transmission in my 01 Road King. My first time on the freeway was an Eye Openier. I hit 505 on Ramp and cranked the throttle and shifting. When I hit 6th gear, I thought, well OK, smooth and nice shifting too. I noticed I was flying past the cars, looked at the Speedo and was at 95 mph! It felt as if I was going 70. The bike dropped around 500RPM for 6th gear overdrive is what I was told it would do. Man this is going to make crusing the deserts a breaze and avoiding tickets a little tougher. Shifting is same but one more gear, same travel on shifter, no noise from transmission, yet. I'm thinking of installing one in my 2000 FLSTF to cut down the vibrations at 70 and 80mph. Has anyone put one of these on a softtail?

A whole 'nother gear to twist out!!!! Look out CHP! Man, that's gotta be nice on that RK. Haven't seen you on the boards much, that's good.....means you're out riding. Hope all is good man, glad you stopped on by. Take care.

Been working lots of OT, that pays for the 6th gear. I was on the way home from San Francisco after a long night of working and I was very tired, sun comming up and between Vallejo and Vacaville I guess I let the speed creep up and first thing I noticed was I was weaving in and out of traffic and a CHP was marking my speed allong side of me. Woops, but he just was looking at me and I just eased off the throttle some and then noticed I was doing 95mph. The CHP just pulled ahead and was gone. Damn 6th gear is nice but scares the hell out of me now. Don't know what the CHP was thinking but I hope he looked at me and thought, hell I'm not fooling with that damn nice biker. But more than likelly he thought I dont want to get my hands dirty messing with this ugly biker and besides my donut and hot coco is waiting. No offence intended to the CHP, just thanks for the warning. Driving sleepy is very dangrous in a cage but on a bike ---- you know the rest of the story.
