Default Ninja 650r vs YZF 600r

Hi everyone,
I am planning on buying myself a new bike. I will be using it to commute and I am a beginner. I want to get something in 600cc range and do not want to get an used one. I am confused and am not sure whether to get 650r or yzf 600r. I know 650r is more upright but 600r looks more sporty. Any recommendation from you guys will be helpful

I would highly recommend a used bike first. I went that route and was very unlucky! I bought a 92 ZX6. Rode that for 1 season fine. Sold the next and bougt an 04 GSXR600. Rode that for a season and was fine. Had much more torque than the 92. The second season I had the GSX I went down doing less than 5mph. Took it out of the shed. Had to drive across the wet grass. Took a left out of my drive way, and another out of my street. Got 2 feet down the road and my rear end kicked out from under me. Did over 2k in damages. I was angry. Near Brand new bike and i was another 2k in debt. I would just recommend to you that you be safe and chose the one you like. I would also strongly recommend a used over a new for beginners.

Both bikes are awesome. If you plan on going brand knew i was told that you get more "bang" for you buck with the R6 by a sales person from a well-known company. In my opinion i like the GSXR600's! Going to go pick one up possibly within the next 2 weeks. Suzuki's having a decent deal, $99 for 60m. Wont pay it off but its very cheap!!!! Good luck!

Just my 2 cents. Hope I helped you.

If you're going for the looks, then I say you choose the yzf 600r.

Definantely agree. I love the way the black R6's look with the black rims with the red line in them. Be careful though either way...
Here is a link to the 360 view of the R6 check out the black, they are niiice loking
