Default Rear wheel conversion, 1999 FXSTC

Anyone have any experience with converting the stock (solid wheel) to a spoked wheel ?

Can this be done ?
How easy?
Are there kits ?

p.s. side question, what is the largest/fatest tire that can go on the rear without haveing to get a wide tire kit ?

Call J&P Cycles, they can tell you all of that. I believe there are some spacers required depending on the wheel. My buddy has a 97 Custom and that's what he found out.

i'm pretty sure you can do a 180 if you cut your frame horns. also heard if you switched to the newer style rear swingarms you could get a 200 in there.

Let me clarify what I want to do.

1) Keep the existing wheel and go to the fatest tire.
2) Go with a spoke wheel, and go with the fatest tire.

Without changing anything else.
