Angry What? No Yamaha Folder!!

Just wondering why there's no Yamaha folder, and us YZF riders are stuck with the "others"

I mean, there's nothing wrong with other bikes, I even own something other than Yamaha..but, well I feel slighted

Cheers,James

James,

sorry about that......it was a 'stupid me' error.

We love our Yamaha people, I grew up riding an old Yamaha 250 dirtbike and a 3 wheeler.

Take care.

Misfit,
Well being from Canada where the whole country has to wear helmets. There are no exceptions anywhere except private land.

I have always worn one, and while I have a "Daytona Beenie" for my crusier days, when I ride the YZF I wear a full face.

The riding still a few weeks off up here as we just got some more snow today

Cheers James

Default Helmets

Hey James,
hey bro, I wear a helmet to but I must tell you that they are not made safe, there is not enough room on this page to tell you why, but I will tell you I have 137 pages of NHTSA testing of 1012 helmets and your Daytona Bennie Failed Hwy safety # 632729, anyway I not saying don't wear one and I can't speek for my bro's in Canada but in US all we are asking is the right to choose and for the the companys that make them, to make them safe, I have just bought 2 new HJC's for my wife and I,and mine hit the ground from 2 feet, and got all nicked up,Like I said they are not made safe,
Well thats eoungh about that Ride safe hope you don't get that snow,so you can get in the wind

you've got it easy, here in the UK it's illegal to ride without a helmet anywhere, even on private land!

Yep,

Worse than that, all helmets worn in the UK must have a British Standard mark, in other words, you can buy exactly the same helmet, considerably cheaper, 30 miles across the Channel in France, but be prosecuted if you wear it here in the UK !! So much for European unity.

Question

And how about tinted visors? I live in Canada, and we are allowed to ride with any color visor we want(Dark)

Is it true that yu cannot wear them in England?

Hi James,

Yep, absolutely true. We can be prosecuted for wearing tinted visors, but we are allowed to wear sunglasses under the visor. Never mind that you can flip a visor up in a tunnel, for instance, or how much glass they would have to pick out of your eyes in the event of an accident, if you didn't wear plastic lenses in the shades, that's the law !!

The thing that really gets my back up is that most European countries have crash helmet laws, but most Police forces have better things to do than play nurse maid to bikers who don't wear helmets. Here in the UK, the Police would execute handbrake turns in the road and instigate a high speed pursuit to catch a biker riding without a crash helmet, even though only the rider himself is at risk. Yet they do nothing over drivers use of mobile ( cell ) phones whilst driving, even though they are endangering other road users.

GRRRRRRR.....

Unhappy At what price protection?

It seems that whenever we allow a legislation that is to "protect" us what we are really doing is allowing governing bodies the eventual carte blanche to command us. We gotta be careful-world over. It would seem that government as we have come to see it today is NOT what the peoplemeant. At least, that is what is going to happen. In The Wind-Dan

Default Bloody savages

This world is full of savages........bloody savages. That's some messed up **** with your helmet laws over there across the pond. But you guys have one advantage that I have noticed. I picked up a British moto mag and low and behold there where naked chicks in there. So that's not so bad.
