Exclamation Collin County Sheriff says - No Bikers

Being Collin County officials don't want "bikers" in their county, they denied the mass gathering permit we were told we had to have. You should read the articles in the Dallas Morning News and The McKinney Courier-Gazette - type in Rock Rally in the seach window).

We could have filed an appeal in District Court and would have won, but why would we want to have a rally in a county where its not wanted especially by the sheriff (the mayor, chamber and many businesses suppoted us). Here is the comment Sheriff Box made about bikers and I quote - "We're worried about the traffic problems this is going to create, the noise complaints, DWIs, traffic violations, drug trafficking, weapons violations and increase in relative crime". So basically he says bikers are a bunch of gun totin', drug running, drunk driving, noisy criminals. One of the County Commissioners stated "It's not a family event - It's going to be long, loud and lewd".

If we were to hold the rally there, all they would do is pull everyone over and make it where no one would come. So we made the decision to move it and we are being received very well. Already we have been in front of several county officials and the Burleson Chamber and haven't run into any obstacles.

The new facility is GREAT, it is only 25 minutes from downtown Dallas and 20 minutes from downtown Ft. Worth. It is right on Hwy 67, there is 200 acres there with a 5 acre building which will house the main stage, Coyote Ugly Saloon, vendors and VIP area. There is a covered row for 100 RV spots with electric and water. We will install another 240 spots with electric. Also over 68 hotels / motels are within a 20 mile radius of the location and 23 within 2.5 to 10 mile radius.

There is plenty of parking, plenty to see and do and the best thing - if it rains there is the 5 acre building and the covered area for RV's. The owner and staff of the new faciliy Diamond W Arena Complex is very nice and wants the rally there for a long time.

What is good about this rally is it can be put anywhere, nothing changes but the layout. So anyone who has already purchased tickets / RV spaces will be transferred to the new location. All RV spots that have been purchased will be placed next to the covered area with electric and water.

More details are and will be available by the weekend at NTRR.com. Everything happens for a reason and now we can see this is where we are to be.
