Default Dropped into say hello.

If you've seen Wild Hogs, then you know who I am. Almost 50. Been riding about a couple of years. Ride a sportster about every chance I can. Someday looking to graduate to a RoadKing, but got to save for that. I don't belong to any local clubs, but I ride with a regular bunch. It is always great fun to ride the country side with a few friends. I try to ride year round, but generally stop when the thermometer goes below freezing. The hands can't take and I have not yet moved to heated gear. Anyhow, glad to be here and I am looking forward to making new friends.

welcome to the forum, I too am almost 50 (46) been riding over 30 years, still ride every chance I get. I ride a Fat Boy, LOVE IT

Didn't William H Macy's character ride a sportster? Is that who you are? He did end up with Marisa Tomei at the end. What a lucky dog.

Thanks for the welcome. The guy who sold me my bike loves his fat boy too. It certainly is a very classy bike. He has added lights to the front and saddle bags. He recently bought an ultraglide for touring, particularly when he is 2 up, but he still has more fun on that fat boy. I am hoping to get down to Georgia someday. I took a trip to Nashville this past summer on the Sportster. It was great. Really wish I had floorboards by the end of the day though. Oh well, someday.

Having lived in Gaithersburg, I know the area you live. Its only a short ride to West VA or Penn. for some great roads for riding. Nashville is also great riding, Hell, anywhere there are mountains is good enough for me.
I think you can get floorboards for a sporty, I have some small ones, and I like them, this is my first bike with floorboards, I must be getting old. All my other bikes were bar-hoppers, hard-tails, and Brit-bombers. (Norton)
