100% American, yea right, but I did make some money on that. Ran in to a Scottsdale RUB that said he built his Fatboy and there was not one metric part on it, a true 100% American bike. bet him a hundred bucks and took him out in fromt of a ton of people and had him put a 10m wrench on the battery.... hand over the hundred.

That was just downright mean Hardbite. But the guy was asking for it so I'm glad someone did it. That just goes to show that you can't make claims in public unless you want someone to prove you wrong.

Red face For some people...

those are the only times a lesson can be learned. Too bad for them, they seem never to learn more than one lesson at a time from it. I'll bet the next snifter of this brandy I have here, the only lesson he learned from you Hardbite, was that he should have only made that statement while at home, around people who would not have had dared to point out what an *** he is. But he will not apply that lesson to the next time he has something to brag about, because the lesson only pertained to his "knowledge" of his own bike, and he felt like he was tricked. Ah well, Life's lessons are all about the hard knocks, some need harder ones than others.

I know: I was once a youngster before middleage tricked me into thinking I was smart.
Respects,
Chessie

I used to know all the answers, then they changed all the questions.

I have the words "I don't know" (in Chinese characters) tattooed on my arm. Reminds me not to yammer too much about things that I don't know about and just listen.

I started on a 650 and think for an adult anything less may be insulting - I also prefer American - but Harley has made it almost impossible for the average worker to afford their bikes - hence - the Japanese - from my limited experience - the jap bikes may be just as good to start but don't last - I have a jap bike and would like to have a harley or victory - American made - supposedly LOL - dag - finally nice to hook up with a real bike site!!!
