Default Apes or RK bars

I've been looking for new handle bars on my 2000 Fat Boy. Stock bars work for the avarage rider but for me on long rides I need to kick back a little. Chubby is the bar maker I decided to go with but I'm stuck between the 12 inch Apes or the RK2 bars both by chubb7. Does anyone have any imput on Apes vers RK2 bars or any other preferance? RK2 = Road King 2

Default Bars...

Rapido,
I've seen several FatBoy's with the Dyna Wide Glide bars, the bars on the Wide Glide are 8" "mini apes", and they look good, and give you more height, and more pull back. A friend of mine also put the RK2 bars on his FatBoy, but to me the were still a bit too low....just my .02
I put a set of 4 1/2" pull back risers on my stock FatBoy bars, and I love the difference, they gave me the height, and the pullback I was looking far, and the best part was I didn't have to change out any of the stock cables.
One thing for sure is the stock bars on a FatBoy will kill your back in a long ride, they are too low, and too far forward for most people.
Good luck on getting the bars you need Rapido....

I put the Wild1 Cubbie 12.5" Apes on my Heritage and I love it. Comfortable and you can really kick back. See the pix. (since then I have put on a Saddlemen solo as well.

I do like the Chuby 12.5 inch apes. That does look sharp. It will be another two weeks or so before I need to do something about it.
