Default Best 125

Hi

I just passed my cbt (compulsory basic training in the uk)
I am allowed to drive upto a 125cc for 2 years
then I must go for my full license.

So untill them I am going to buy a 125cc to learn on
I have been driveing bikes off road for 10 years
but have no road experiance.

I was thinking about the yamaha sr125 or the honda 125city
these are just ideas.

So If anyone has any good ideas on a 125 starter bike
that has good reputation for build and performance
and goes good. I am not to keen on 2 stroke I would prefare
a 4 stroke engine.

Thanx...

Default Welcome

mr do ,
Welcome to "Bikerforums" , and welcome to riding on the road. The bikes you mentioned are both fine. I think any of the 125cc class Japanese bikes will work well for you. They seem to all be pretty comparable , they are reliable , economical in cost ,and fuel consumption, and lot's of fun to ride. One thing to keep in mind is with a 125cc bike it will do fine in city driving , but will be very underpowered for driving on an open highway at higher speeds.
Above all else , keep safety (your safety) in mind while riding the roads. It's easy to start enjoying your ride so much you don't pay attention to what's going on around you. Stay focused , scan down the road at what's ahead , and always, ALWAYS keep an eye on the automobiles...they are your worst enemy !!!
good luck on finding a bike.
