Purchase of a new bike
Ryan , we don't know as we are from different states than you. The laws concerning age, and requirements vary from state to state.
Do like PB says....give your local DOT office a call, they will take care of you I'm sure.
When is your MSF course ??? , and also did you ever decide which of the bikes you would get ? One more question....have you looked at "cruiser" style bikes, such as the Honda 750 Shadow, or the Kawasaki 800 Classic (looks identical to a Harley FatBoy) ?

FBR's right, started out on a Honda, guilty as charged. First two bikes were Hondas actually. Oh ****, first THREE were Hondas. Then Harleys, then BMWs and Suzukis and multiple Harleys a Kawi in there somewhere...like FBR said, it gets in your blood.
i freakin love 350 Hondas. I had a 71 CL, I was evil to it. I still need to set my kharma straight and restore one or build a vintage racer out of one. It's only right.
So shouldn't this thread move to the Honda area now?

One of my best friends in High School had a 1972 Honda CB350....it was my first time modifying exhaust
We drilled out the baffles...then ended up going down to a muffler shop and getting some straight pipe bent to the same bends at the stock pipe, then welded to the exhaust flanges, and had the pipes extended all the way to the end of the bike (world's first long shots ??)....then put those on.....lol
The damn thing was so loud it was obnoxious...but we loved it. He lived about 3 miles from me out in the country, and I swear I could hear him coming the whole way....
I've loved loud pipes ever since !!!
