Does anybody know the differences between the 2001 euro spec R1 and the 2001 U.S. spec R1? The reason I ask is I am stationed in okinawa japan and I want to take my bike back with me to the states next sept. I just wanted to know if there was any differences in the bike and what I would need to do to get it bak to the us. Thanks

 

There is not much in the difference, the only real difference is the bhp. The bhp in an euro bike is more than a US bike. Different laws. In the US the R1 has to be under a certain hp for some reason but it should'nt make much of a difference really. You should'nt have much trouble shipping it into the US but ill find out for you.
