Sporster Wide Tire?

Sportster Wide Tire?
Gentlemen,
I just found this site and it looks great! I need some information and I apologize if it has been discussed a hundred times already. I am interested in putting a wider tire on my 1997 Sportster. I would like to know about wheel only modifications, if there are any. As well as swing arm replacement options. I am interested in anything that will allow a bigger than stock tire and will keep the front and rear tires in line. Minor frame modifications are not a problem as long as the finished product is still worthy of everyday road ridding.
Thank you…

First off welcome to the forums, glad to have you around and I hope you enjoy your time here and spread the word to make this site even better.
Secondly, let me just say that you just missed the other conversation of the sportster wide tire by about a couple weeks. When you think things may have been discussed you can use the "Search" button on the upper right hand menu and just type in your search term and go from there.
Luckily I remembered just talking about this and here's the thread:

It can be done, it is being done and you can contact people on this board for more info.
Again, welcome aboard...and hope we can continue helping you and getting to know you.
Later.

Mongo,
Thanks for the reply. I looked for a search function, but I did not see one before I posted. After you mentioned it I went back and looked again. I see now that the page is larger than my screen and the search function is just out of view, until I slide over. I will try to spread the word about the board to some of my friends.
